I'm Jason Bobe.
For two decades I've forged new paths for people to take part in scientific discovery and health innovation. OutlierBio is where I put that to work, building ventures and helping clients test opportunities before they commit.
A few things I've done
- Flowpoint Medical. Academic spin-out I first consulted for through OutlierBio, then led as CEO, securing non-dilutive NIH SBIR funding.
- Mount Sinai. Seven years as an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine and founding Director of Democratized Health Innovations.
- Open Humans Foundation. Co-founded this nonprofit, born out of Harvard Medical School's Church Lab, and served as founding Executive Director. Contributed to the 'Genome in a Bottle' program by NIST and the FDA.
- DIYbio.org. Founder and board member of this nonprofit for amateur and citizen biologists.
